The vinegar one is one of my favorite tricks to cleaning the shower head. I am definitely going to be trying the cooking spray idea this spring….soap scum on the shower doors is not fun!

I agree!

Switch to liquid bath soap and ditch the soap scum problem forever. I learned this while working at a medical spa. Wax is what makes bar soap able to maintain it’s shape. The soap scum in your shower is actually waxy buildup. I forbid all bar soap in the house 10 years ago and haven’t had to deal with it since.

Hi, Diannee! This is a great idea! I will definitely start using liquid bath soap from now on. Thank you for sharing!

Ambriel April 20, 2017 - 9:25 pm

Any brand should work.
