1. Get Hosting From Bluehost
In order for you to create your own website, you have to purchase hosting. Hosting is the service that will allow your website to accessible on the internet. There are many hosting sites that you can choose to purchase hosting from, but I highly recommend Bluehost. Bluehost has excellent customer service and 24/7 technical support. Bluehost has an easy-to-use panel and one click WordPress installation! None of the other hosting services impressed me like Bluehost did.
Bluehost offers three hosting packages: basic, prime, and plus. I went with the basic plan for $2.95 a month and a free domain name was included!
2. Create Your Domain Name
After you have selected a hosting package, you will create your domain name. Bluehost will tell you if the domain name is already taken.
If you already have a domain name in mind, see if it is available by using this handy domain searching tool provided by Bluehost.
I suggest that you create a list of possible domain names that you can choose from, just in case if your first choice is taken.
3. Personal Information & Extra Add-ons
After you have entered your domain name, enter your personal info. Also on this step, you will make sure that you have the right package selected for purchase. Also on this page, you can select extra add-ons for a small additional fee to your total purchase. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND selecting the domain privacy protection. This service will keep your personal information private and hidden in WHOIS databases. You can read more about that here.
4. Billing Info
Enter your billing information! You are almost ready to start your blog!
5. Create Your Password

Just A Few More Tips….
Now that you have successfully created your WordPress blog, here are a few things that you should work on before you launch your blog!
Create posts– It’s a good idea that you create 20-50 blog posts before you launch your blog. By doing this, your first few readers will have a lot of things to look at and read through.
Find a suitable theme– make your blog stand out! I found my current theme off of themeforest.com for $32!!! You can find WordPress themes by going to appearance-> themes. No matter what theme you choose, make sure it’s up to date, compatible with the current WordPress update, and easy to navigate!
Keep Going– The only way your blog will be successful is if you keep going!!! There will be days, weeks, maybe even months where your blog doesn’t get any traffic. But if you persist, your blog will flourish! For more tips read this post that’ll tell you how I make a full time income blogging.
